About the Class:

Our Portobello group is called “East Coast Taiko” which is part of the larger group called “Tsuchigumo Daiko”. The group teach Japanese style Taiko drumming and are dedicated to studying, teaching, and performing the art.
Our aim is to raise awareness of the art within our local community and beyond, promoting its many benefits to general health and wellbeing.

Our regular classes at the Wash House are suitable for all levels and genders, from beginners to intermediate and advanced players. In each class, we strive to help individuals set and achieve their specific Taiko-related goals through continual feedback, a fully rounded and accessible training system, and an overall ethos that fosters a strong group dynamic.
